More COMINGS and GOINGS

Freddie & Boyet Evalle were home for three weeks last month.
They arrived 2nd week of April from Hilleary,CA.

My memory of Freddie was back in the 70′s when they would hang-out in my lola’s house in Madaling Araw with my Uncle Jun a.k.a. Tikboy. He had long-layered hair and was forever sporting a makapal na bigote ala-Rico J. Now he’s clean-cut and actually looks much better. Talk about aging (?) gracefully. Ha-ha!

Si Boyet, I will always have fond memories of Boyet and our BARKADAHAN days. We had a lot of fun then, especially during the summer when we would have more activities than we could really handle. Our parents, (well in my case, my loving lola – Mommy Ramirez) hardly ever saw us at home. We would have choir practice from 1pm to about 3pm, officiate and/or play in the summer basketball and volleyball league until early evening and then attend the nightly Barkadahan meetings which was sometimes presided over by no less than Fr. Sonny Ramirez. Muntik n kaming magkapalit-palit ng mukha noon. Haha! We also helped in the church activities and, amazingly, still found time to party. Haaay! Those were the glory days… if only the kabataans nowadays would involve themselves in half the things we did during our times, the fire in Teresa that was ablaze would be rekindled.

Erick Bisa and I got to spend time with them at the Evalle residence in Bagong Buwan St. the night before they were scheduled to fly back to the US. Erick even rendered a song for them as a going-away present. Sa inyong mga taga-Teresa na nasa America, if u want to hear Erick sing, sugurin nyo sila Freddie, he videotaped Erick’s song. Impromptu lang yun ha, nag-gitara lang si Ron-Ron a.k.a. Pokart. Freddie and Boyet left last Thursday-May 4,2006 at 12nn.

Till next time mga ka-Teresianos!

Kahit may umalis … meron namang dumating!

Tita Ebs del Rosario-Andres is back home! Ka Ebi arrived on the day Freddie & Boyet left. She had her 2nd husband, Richie McHugh in tow (Ka Angel passed on in 1993). Ka Ebi introduced us to Richie last night (Sun-May 7) via a simple dinner party. Richie seems such a nice fellow. He’s of Irish-French descent but was born and raised in Michigan. We had food and drinks with the happy couple, Ka Ebi’s family Nene (Leo, LA, Irene), Nel (Jong,Gelo), Bong (Stefanie, Clem, Bonggie), Owie’s wife (Lea and kids Norraine & Lee)- Owie was at work. Mommy Ramirez was also there with Tito Rad & Tita Lourdes Domingo and Tita Cecile Tejada. It was a fun nyt of laughter, songs and reminiscing.

Maligayang pagdating Tita Ebs and Richie!
